IVOR M MACKAY - HEBRIDEAN ART - Artist
Ivor was raised on the Isle of Lewis and attended Edinburgh College of Art, graduating with Honours in drawing and painting. He is a professional artist and also teaches art.
He is inspired by the changing moods and rugged expanse of the wild Hebridean coastlines, sandy beaches, old croft houses, stormy seas and fishing boats.
Ivor paints in oils and his original work and prints of these are available at his house/studio.

COLL POTTERY - Ceramics/Glass

CRAFTMAKERS'S OWN STUDIO/GALLERY



Coll Pottery Craft Centre is a working craft centre and gallery, located in the former Coll Pottery Building, at Back, Isle of Lewis. It is home primarily, to both Alan Whittle Ceramics, and Solus Studio Glass, who have been full time, professional potter and glass artist for over 30 years, opening their original studio in South Uist in 1991, and moving to Coll in 2018.The residents work in glass, ceramics, and jewellery, as well as a blacksmith working in wrought iron.
There are currently three retail galleries and a gallery/viewing area overlooking the studio spaces.The Centre is also offering ceramics and glass 'Taster Classes' during OSH. Starting at 10am / 2pm and 7pm daily, each lasting 2 hours.
But please pre-book to avoid disappointment, as these were extremely popular last year.Taster, Improver and Advanced courses and private one-to-one tuition are also available all year round, in both glass and ceramics.
