Artist Statement

My art is inspired by my love of wildlife and the natural world: the older I get the more whimsical my work becomes. I am very lucky to live in Port of Ness, looking out over the Minch where I get to see many of the critters I like to paint either swimming or flying by my home. I really enjoy working with acrylic paints, it seems to what I want it to do on the canvas or slate that I use.
