I am a visual artist and musician currently dividing my time equally between South Yorkshire and The Outer Hebrides. I worked in Primary Education as a teacher and headteacher for over 30 years, during which time I built up something of a reputation for cultivating creativity in the classroom through the use of digital technologies, including film and animation.
Whilst I now work predominantly as a printmaker, I am always keen to develop other skills and have used sculpture, photography and wood carving when the need has arisen. I have completed a number of Arts Council funded projects, working either alone or in collaboration with a small group of artists. As a musician, I perform regularly either as a solo act or with the Irish Stomp band ‘The Rogues’ as well as recording and performing original music under the name ’Bent Lathes’.
