I began working with clay in 2023 and I build my ceramic pieces with either mid-fire clay or stoneware.
I get my inspiration from the colours of the land and sea in the beautiful area of Uig, in which I live, on the Isle of Lewis.
I often use botanicals from the garden or the land around my home and press them into the clay to make an imprint, which I then highlight with oxides and cover with a clear glaze.
