I am a local artist living in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. My main medium is pyrography and I have been creating in this medium in my business since 1987. I also create using mixed media and I am inspired by Island and Scottish mythology and folklore, the Scottish natural world and history. I enjoy the use of symbolism in my work to build up individual and personal pieces. Each piece I create is unique and I welcome commissions. I work with seasoned wood sourced from the Lews Castle Grounds and from the beaches around our islands. I also enjoy making up 3D pieces from special pieces of wood that I find.
