Gill Thompson
As a printmaker, I incorporate the textures, forms and colours into the work I create through a variety of printmaking techniques. This collaged work depicts the stones at Callanish on the Isle of Lewis - representing the drama and symbolism of this ancient site of worship and ritual. The materials used are mono-printed papers, combined to reflect the darker side of these megaliths that haves stood as sentinels for thousands of years.
