I love to paint in oils, inspired by the coastline and changing light of the Isle of Lewis. My focus is on capturing atmosphere and the feeling of place, particularly the skies and shorelines of Uig. Working en plein air and in the studio, I use expressive, economical brushwork to convey reflections, movement and depth in the shifting light of the Hebrides.
